Report of the Committee of the Muslim Chamber of Commerce for the year 1950-51

[...] Extension of the time limit for the export of Mustard Oil from India to East Pakistan under the Indo-Pakistan Trade Agreement 1950 :—At the instance of the Bengal Oil Mills Association Calcutta the Chamber on the 26th September 1950 addressed a representation to the Secretary Ministry of Commerce Government of Pakistan Karachi for extending the time-limit for utilising the quota in respec [...] The Chamber on the 20th September 1950 replied as follows :— In view of the difficulty in obtaining a suitable site for construction of a model bustee for Muslims and the lapse"( 23 ) of time since the proposal was first mooted the Committee is of the opinion that the amount of one lakh of rupees ear-marked for Muslim Bustee should be distributed amongst the following charitable organisations i [...] Proposed Indo-Pakistan Conference regarding the working of the permit system :—The Chamber on the 17th April 1951 addressed a letter to the Secretary Ministry of External Affairs Government of India drawing his attention to the press report regarding the holding of Indo-Pakistan Conference in respect of the working of the permit system.
