The plan authrized a facfinding Commission to proceed to the trouble-spot with a view to studying the coditions; also to evolve a plan of settlement which would be agreable to both the states and advise the world body of its findings. [...] Said Chetty: "Czechoslovakia is very anxious to help us in the supply of machinery and technical aid because they have this capacity and willingness to do so." Accoring to the Finance Minister the recent London talks were confied only to sterling balances and not to the future political reltionship between the two mebers of the Commonwealth. [...] An all-party conference last week decided to take all legitimate steps for restoring the two states to Orissa in order to "create a full and complete homeland for Oriyas in Free India." The resolution passed by the conference declared that the transfer of the two states to Bihar was contrary to the agold principle of the creation of provinces on a linguistic basis. [...] According to the ordinance the Sind Special Court of Enquiry which is now trying the ex-premier is given the "same jurisdiction power and athority in accordance with the same procedure and practice in respect of contempt of itself as a High Court." The new Ordinance was issued conequent on the express request to the Governor of Sind Ghulam Hussein Hidayatulla by Chief Justice Abdur Rashi [...] Amplifying the implications of the ordinance the Chief Justice warned the press to be very carful in reporting the proceedings.
