In the first place it seeks to limit the powers of the High Courts including those that are Courts of Record to punish contempt to imprisoment not exceeding six months or fine or both and in the next place to extend the jurisdiction of the High Courts including the Courts of Judicial Commissioners of the Cetral Provinces Oudh and Sindh not only ∎vith regard to contempts in the nature of [...] and the Chief Ristice was ordered the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council to pay the costs of the proceedings.
