This collection was produced by Rao Bahadur C.M. Ramachandran Chettiar (known as Kovaikizhar) of Coimbatore between 1925-1953. Presently the collection is in Thavathiru Santhalinga Adigalar Arts, Science & Tamil College library at Coimbatore. The collection contains five folders in series level: 1) Album 1 containing Photographs of various Temples of India; 2) Album 2 containing News paper cuttings of famous Monuments of India and portrait of few celebrities; 3) Album 3 containing portrait of celebrities, Landscape; 4) Miscellaneous documents containing, Temple rough sketch, list of temple names, 1943 Court judgement copy, C. M. Ramchandran Chettiars' India-Ceylon Passport copy, International certificate of Vaccination etc... ; 5) Photo prints on mount containing 2 portrait photographs. Extent: Album 1 containing 51 folios; Album 2 containing 93 folios; Album 3 containing 52 folios; Miscellaneous documents containg 29 folios; Photo print on mount containing 2 portrait Photographs. Condition of original material: Endangered condition. The folios are separated from the album, Deterioration of the album caused by insects. Several Photographs are faded due to poor maintanence of the Photo Album. The Bounded album is completely come into two pieces. Custodial history: This collection was produced by Rao Bahadur C.M. Ramachandran Chettiar (known as Kovaikizhar) of Coimbatore between 1925-1953. Presently the collection is in Thavathiru Santhalinga Adigalar Arts, Science & Tamil College library at Coimbatore. Arrangement: There is no specific way followed in the organising of the collection. The material of C. M. Ramachandran Chettiar was stored in a wooden cupboard inside the Library of with the title C.M. Ramachandran Chettiar- Collection, and we have organised as it was stored inside the cupboard. Presently, The Librarian of Thavathiru Santhalinga Adigalar Arts, Science Tamil College, Coimbatore is responsible for this material. Author(s)/Creator(s): C.M.
