The video documents the various forms of folk theatre in Bengal and includes interviews with theatre scholars and critics. Various folk theatre forms from across Bengal have been documented, starting with Rang Pachali of Jalpaiguri.The folk theatre of Bengal is often associated with the concept of journey and the Bhar Jatra showcases travel, play and work in a unique presentation. In Hooghly the family tradition of Leto is documented through the practices of the Mamata Natya Samaj. The folk tradition of Alkaap, as practiced in the remote village of Sundarpur in Murshidabad is also documented in this video. The puppet theatre or Putul Naach of South 24 Paraganas, the Medinipur mythological drama, festivals like Gajan and Charak, Bonbibir Pala of the Sundarbans, Kushan Pala and Chor Chunnir Gaan of North Bengal and the modern jatra are some of the folk theatre traditions that are presented in the film.
