This video is a presentation on the Octave performance festival which was organized at the Darya Sangam, Kala Academy at Panjim, Goa from 18th to 22nd March, 2015. The West Zone Cultural Centre (WZCC) has been organizing the Octave festival for the last several years. The festival usually takes places at venues across its member states. The festival is considered as a showcase of North-East India's culture, and it includes performances from the eight North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Tripura, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Nagaland, Assam and Manipur. The cultural programme consists of folk dance, folk music, choir singing, classical dance, drama, literary seminars, rock music performance and art and handicraft exhibitions. At the 2015 Octave festival the audience were treated to performances by more than 300 performers. The opening performance featured all 300 performers followed by dances like the Dhol Cholom of Manipur and the Wangala of Meghalaya.
