Sanjari : Concert by Padmini Dora, Odisha संजारी : ओडिशा के लोक गीत - पद्मिनी डोरा

The famous folk singer Padmini Dora, gave an introduction to the cultural heritage of Odisha to the audience, through her performance. Padmini Dora and her fellow artists entertained the audience by incorporating various genres in the rendering of Sambalpuri folk songs. Trilochan Suna accompanied her on the stage as an assistant. Their songs reflected the themes of devotion, social life, love and festivals. The program started with an invocation to Maa Samaleshwari, the goddess of western Odisha. The artists presented it in the Malyashree style. The next folksong was 'Kahaan daki desi nisha tati re'. The love of Radha and Krishna was depicted in this folksong, which was based on the ‘Bajania’ style. The next performance was also of Shringar Ras which was sung together by Padmini Dora and Trilochan Suna. Its lyrics were 'Kashi Bounser Paati Re Naagri Mor’. The next performance was based on Nachania, Jhari Rejhara, Maelajdo and Jaiyeful style. Its lyrics were ‘Chhaani basi dake kua, Surubabu nai hebu achabuha’. This folksong means that the crow sitting on the roof of the house is telling that an auspicious event is taking place inside. The next presentation in this programme was the 'Dal Khai’ folksong'. This folksong has two parts. Dal khai symbolizes the much venerated goddess Durga in the first part. By worshiping her, girls pray for a healthy and happy future for their brothers. The second part tends to be dominated by the Shringar Rasa. In this part, women sing and dance and express love through their songs. In this song Vaishali Biswas and Padmini Dora danced along with singing, which was greatly appreciated by the audience. The next presentation of this programme was 'Leela Dand Nach'. According to tradition, the people in Odisha, dance barefoot in the sun from Chaitra Purnima to Hanuman Jayanti and eat only in the evenings. The famous traditional folk song 'Rasarakeli' of Odisha was also sung. The programme ended with the popular song 'Rangabati re Rangbati'. As soon as this song started, the audience got excited. They supported the artists by clapping. There were some viewers who even started dancing. During these performances, Mohit Kumar Swain played the Nishan, Amit Dunguri played the drum and the cymbals, Dasaratha Meher played the stringed Shehnai, Brahma Kumar played the harmonium, Chandrasekhar Dubey played the tabla -Mandal and Drum, Dinesh Patra played the Tasha, Umashankar Patnaik played the flute and Himanshu Pradhan played the cymbals. Vaishali Biswas and Himanshu Pradhan brought the presentations alive through their dance performances. प्रसिद्ध लोकगायिका पद्मिनी डोरा ने अपने कार्यक्रम के जरिए दर्शकों को ओडिशा की सांस्कृतिक विरासत का दर्शन कराया। पद्मिनी डोरा और उनके साथी कलाकारों ने संबलपुरी लोकगीतों की गायकी में विभिन्न शैलियों को शामिल कर दर्शकों का मनोरंजन किया। उनके साथ सहगायक के तौर पर त्रिलोचन सुना मंच पर थे। इनके गीतों में भक्ति, सामाजिक जीवन, प्रेम और उत्सव प्रसंगों की झलक थी। कार्यक्रम की शुरूआत पश्चिम ओडिशा की आराध्य देवी माँ समलेश्वरी की वंदना से हुई। कलाकारों ने इसे माल्यश्री शैली में प्रस्तुत किया। अगला लोकगीत था- ‘कहाणु डाकि देसी निशा ताती रे’। बजनिया शैली पर आधारित इस लोकगीत में राधा कृष्ण के प्रेम का वर्णन था। अगली प्रस्तुति भी श्रृंगार रस की थी, जिसे पद्मिनी डोरा और त्रिलोचन सुना ने मिलकर गाया। इसके बोल थे ‘कषि बाउंसर पाति रे नागरी मोर’। अगली प्रस्तुति नचनिया, झरि रेझरा, माएलाज्ड़ो और जाईएफुल शैली पर आधारित थी। इसके बोल थे ‘छानी बसी डाके कुआ, सुरुबाबू नाइ हेबु अचाबुहा’। इस लोकगीत का आशय था कि घर की छत पर बैठा कौवा बता रहा है कि घर में कोई मांगलिक प्रसंग है। इसी कड़ी में अगली प्रस्तुति ‘डाल खाई’ लोकगीत की थी। इस लोकगीत के दो पक्ष होते हैं। पहले पक्ष में डाल खाई आराध्य देवी दुर्गा की प्रतीक हैं, जिसकी पूजा कर कन्याएँ अपने भाई के स्वस्थ और मंगल भविष्य की कामना करती हैं। दूसरा पक्ष श्रृंगार प्रधान होता है। इसमें महिलाएँ नाचती गाती हैं और अपने गीतों के माध्यम से प्रेम प्रकट करती हैं। इस गीत में वैशाली बिस्वास और पद्मिनी डोरा ने गायकी के साथ साथ नृत्य भी किया, जिसे दर्शकों ने जमकर सराहा । इनके कार्यक्रम की अगली पेशकश थी ‘लीला दंड नाच’। परंपरा के मुताबिक ओडिशा के लोग चैत्र पूर्णिमा से लेकर हनुमान जयंती तक धूप में नंगे पांव नाचते हैं और सिर्फ़ शाम के वक्त भोजन करते हैं। इसी कड़ी में ओडिशा का प्रसिद्ध पारंपरिक लोकगीत ‘रसरकेलि’ भी गाया गया। कार्यक्रम का अंत हुआ वहाँ के लोकप्रिय गीत ‘रंगबती रे रंगबती’ से। इस गीत के शुरू होते ही दर्शकों में जोश आ गया। उन्होंने कलाकारों का साथ ताली बजाकर दिया। कुछ दर्शक तो ऐसे भी थे जिनके पैर थिरकने लगे। इन प्रस्तुतियों के दौरान मोहित कुमार स्वाइन ने निशान, अमित डुंगुरी ने ढोल और झांज, दशरथ मेहेर ने तार शहनाई, ब्रह्म कुमार ने हारमोनियम, चंद्रशेखर दुबे ने तबला-मांदल और ढोल, दिनेश पात्रा ने ताशा, उमाशंकर पटनायक ने बांसुरी और हिमांशु प्रधान ने झांझ पर संगत की। कार्यक्रम के बीच बीच में वैशाली बिस्वास और हिमांशु प्रधान ने नृत्य कर प्रस्तुतियों को जीवंत कर दिया।
