Foundation day

The video is a recording of the Foundation Day celebration of Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi which was held on 5th August, 2010. The celebration featured a vocal recital by Kumud Jha Diwani who was accompanied by Mehmood Dholpuri on the harmonium and Jai Shankar Mishra on the tabla. The performer is known as a thumri specialist and is a disciple of Pandit Channulal Mishra. Along with a thumri, she also performed a kajri from Mirzapur and a jhoola to mark the occasion.
