Sanjari : Folk Music of Jharkhand by Mukund Nayak संजारी : झारखंड के लोक गीत - मुकुंद नायक

Padmashri Mukund Nayak, a popular singer from Jharkhand, presented his folk songs with indigenous folk and tribal instruments. During these presentations, Mukund Nayak's style was very refreshing for the audience. He sang the Mardani Jhoomar and his fellow artist Shrimati Yashodhara Devi sang the Janani Jhoomar. The swaying performance of these folk songs on the stage filled the audience with a new wave of enthusiasm. The language of all these songs was Nagpuri, while the Ragas varied. Mukund Nayak started his program with a devotional song based on Raag Mardaani Jhoomar. The lyrics were- 'Riddhi Siddhi Sharda Ke Bhakti Aadi Sita Maa Ke, Shiv Charan Raj Sire Dhari Premanale Khelab Jhumri'. The next performance was- 'Kavane Kasure Daaiya Virhalaye More Piya, Eko Chhan Eko Chhan Lagat Na Besse'. In this folk song, there was a reference to the agony of a wife on being separated from her husband. He then sang the song 'Jab Se Pati Gayeel Videsh Tab Se Nahin Paati Sandesh' based on Raag Paavas, which mentioned the arrival of the rainy season and the growing anguish of the wife. As his fourth performance, Mukund Nayak sang - 'Ab Nahin Jabai Jamuna Dagri'. Based on Raag Phagwa, this folk song describes the water games between lord Krishna and Radha. After this, the Janani Jhoomar started. The song 'Nawan Gagri Dhari, Niklat Nawan Nari' described the beauty of a newly married bride, and how the beautiful damsel takes a new horse and sets out on a new path. The vermilion of her forehead is looking delightful. This song is sung during the rainy season. The next song was based on Raag Damnach Ekharia. The song mentioned the water of a place called Palkot in Jharkhand. The water here is very sweet and pure. The next folk song presented in Raag Damkach Jhumra expressed the love between a husband and his wife. At the end of the program, Mukund Nayak and his fellow artists also gave the patriotic message of the freedom fighter Birsa Munda, to the youth. The artists also danced during this presentation and the audience also participated in it. During these presentations, Sudama Singh accompanied on the Mandar, Arun Nayak on the harmonium, Baleshwar Nayak and Rameshwar Minj on the cymbals, Ganesh Mahali on the nagara, Kishore Nayak on the dhol, Kishore Mahali on the dhak, and Deepak Nayak on the Bher-Narsinga. झारखंड के लोकप्रिय गायक पद्मश्री मुकुंद नायक ने स्वदेशी लोक और जनजातीय वाद्यों के साथ अपने लोकगीत प्रस्तुत किए। इन प्रस्तुतियों में मुकुंद नायक का अंदाज ऐसा था कि दर्शकों को ताजगी का अहसास हुआ। उन्होंने मर्दानी झूमर गाए और उनकी साथी कलाकार श्रीमती यशोधरा देवी ने जनानी झूमर। मंच पर खड़े होकर झूमते हुए इन लोकगीतों की प्रस्तुति ने दर्शकों में एक नया उत्साह भरा। इन सभी गीतों की भाषा नागपुरी थी और राग अलग-अलग। मुकुंद नायक ने अपने कार्यक्रम की शुरूआत राग मर्दानी झूमर के भक्ति गीत से की। गीत के बोल थे- ‘रिद्धि सिद्धि शारदा के भक्ति आदि सीता माँ के, शिव चरण राज सिरे धरी प्रेमानले खेलब झूमरी’। अगली प्रस्तुति थी- ‘कवने कसुरे दैया विरहलये मोरे पिया, एको छन एको छन लगत ना बेसे’। इस लोकगीत में पति से बिछड़ने के बाद एक विरहणी की व्यथा का जिक्र था। इसके बाद उन्होंने ‘जब से पति गईल विदेश तब से नहीं पाती संदेश’ गीत गाया। यह गीत राग पावस पर आधारित था, जिसमें वर्षा ऋतु के आगमन और पत्नी की बढ़ती व्यथा का जिक्र था। अपनी चौथी प्रस्तुति के तौर पर मुकुंद नायक ने गाया- ‘अब नहीं जाबई जमुना डगरी’। राग फगवा पर आधारित इस लोकगीत में राधा कृष्ण की जलक्रीड़ा का वर्णन है। इसके बाद जनानी झूमर का दौर शुरू हुआ। ‘नावां गगरी धरी, निकलत नावां नारी’ में नई नवेली दुल्हन की सुंदरता का बखान था, कि किस तरह वह सुंदरी नया घोड़ा लेकर नई डगर पर निकलती है। उसकी मांग का सिंदूर मुस्कान भर रहा है। इस गीत को वर्षा ऋतु में गाया जाता है। अगला गीत राग डमनच एखारिया पर था। इस गीत में झारखंड के पालकोट नामक स्थान के पानी का जिक्र था। यहाँ का पानी बहुत मीठा और पवित्र होता है। राग डमकच झुमरा में पेश किए गए अगले लोकगीत में पति पत्नी की प्रेम वार्ता का भाव था। मुकुंद नायक और उनके साथी कलाकारों ने कार्यक्रम के अंत में युवाओं को स्वतंत्रता सेनानी बिरसा मुंडा का देशभक्ति संदेश भी दिया। इस दौरान कलाकारों ने नृत्य भी किया, जिसमें दर्शकों ने भी हिस्सा लिया। इन प्रस्तुतियों के दौरान मांदर पर सुदामा सिंह, हारमोनियम पर अरूण नायक, झांझ पर बालेश्वर नायक और रामेश्वर मिंज, नगाड़े पर गणेश महाली, ढोल पर किशोर नायक, ढाक पर किशोर महाली और भेर-नरसिंगा पर दीपक नायक ने संगत की।
