The video is an edited compilation of the photo stills from the presentation ceremony of Sangeet Natak Akademi Fellowships and Sangeet Natak Akademi Awards which were presented for the year 2013 by the then President of India, Pranab Mukherjee. The Sangeet Natak Akademi Fellowship or the Sangeet Natak Akademi Ratna has been conferred on practitioners of dance, music and theatre from the year 1952. Such practitioners are chosen for the Ratna who have rendered exceptional service to the cause of music, dance and drama through scholarship, research or original contributions. The Ratna is awarded to 40 eminent practitioners at a time. The Sangeet Natak Akademi Awards or the Sangeet Natak Akademi Puraskar are conferred on gurus, scholars of music, dance and theatre as well as practitioners as tribute of their high professional achievements. The number of Awards that are conferred at a time are 41.
