The popular Telangana folk singer Kalvakatta John started his program with the Ganapati Vandana. He then sang the commemoration song of his state and the people enjoyed it very much. Palapati Sisindri and Durgam Annapurna accompanied Kalvakatta John in singing, while Regalla Lakshmi Narayana accompanied on the Dhappu and Kotta Palli Ashoka on the Dholak. Ganesh Vandana was followed by a song related to the ritualistic Bonalu festival. Its lyrics were- ‘Rama Rama Yellamakku’. People here believe that by worshiping Yelamma Devi during the rainy season, she not only protects the villagers from trouble but also keeps everyone healthy. The artists then sang 'Tella Cheer Nala Raika'. It means black blouse over white saree. Actually this song is very popular among shepherds. They have a lot of time while grazing their cattle. And, if they happen to see a beautiful girl during this time they make a song about her. They convey the beauty of the girl by using beautiful sweet similes. After this, the next presentation was also very well received by the audience. It was 'Chinta Manu Chilkal Babi'. ‘Chinta Maanu’ means a tamarind tree and ‘Chilkal’ stands for a parrot. This is the song of the farmers. In Telangana, tamarind trees are planted on the boundaries of the fields. After a hard day’ work, the farmers relax under these trees and sing such songs for their entertainment. After these presentations, an artist of the same group, Durgam Annapurna, presented a song based on the sentiments of the unmarried damsels of the village. It conveyed the message that swings are hanging on big trees in the village. The girls have fun on these swings and enjoy their time. The lyrics of their song were - 'Kommal Palam Unnado Veil'. Massamma is considered the folk goddess of Telangana. Her praise also includes singing the 'Mayadar Massamma' during the Bonalu festival. It is believed that Goddess Maasamma sometimes comes there and sometimes becomes invisible, but no one can understand her magic. In this song, a beautiful girl is treated as Masamma and an effort is made to please her. The interesting performance of 'Mayadar Massamma' was very well received by the audience. The artists were highly praised. The artists then presented the final performance, which was full of passion. The Paida Puli Devi, i.e. big lion, was praised in this last presentation. The audience also joined in the vigour of this song. तेलंगाना के लोकप्रिय लोकगायक काल्वाकत्ता जॉन ने अपने कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत गणपति वंदना से की। इसके बाद उन्होंने अपने राज्य का कीर्ति गीत प्रस्तुत किया, जिसका लोगों ने भरपूर आनंद उठाया। काल्वाकत्ता जॉन के साथ गायन में पालापाटी सिसिंद्री और दुरगम अन्नपूर्णा ने उनका साथ दिया, जबकि ढप्पू पर रेगल्ला लक्ष्मी नारायण और ढोलक पर कोत्ता पल्ली अशोक ने संगत की। गणेश वंदना के बाद बोनालू अनुष्ठानिक उत्सव से जुड़ा गीत प्रस्तुत किया गया। इसके बोल थे- रामा रामा येल्लमक्कू। यहाँ के लोग ऐसा मानते हैं कि बारिश के दिनों में येलम्मा देवी की पूजा करने से वे गाँव वालों को ना सिर्फ़ मुसीबत से बचाती हैं बल्कि सभी को स्वस्थ भी रखती हैं। इसके बाद कलाकारों ने ‘तेल्ला चीर नला रायका’ गाया। इसका मतलब होता है- सफेद साड़ी पर काला ब्लाउज। दरअसल ये गीत चरवाहों में बहुत लोकप्रिय है। मवेशी चराते समय उनके पास काफ़ी समय होता है। ऐसे में अगर वो किसी सुंदर लड़की को देखते हैं तो उस पर गीत बनाते हैं। उस लड़की के रूप को प्यारी प्यारी उपमाओं से सजाते हैं। इसके बाद अगली पेशकश को भी श्रोताओं से काफ़ी सराहना मिली। यह थी ‘चिंता मानु चिल्कल बाबी’। चिंता मानु मतलब इमली का पेड़ और चिल्कल यानि तोता। यह किसानों का गीत है। तेलंगाना में खेत की सीमाओं पर इमली के पेड़ लगे होते हैं। दिन भर मेहनत करने के बाद किसान इन्हीं पेडों के नीचे आराम करते हैं और मनोरंजन के लिए ऐसे गीत गाते हैं। इन प्रस्तुतियों के बाद इसी टोली की कलाकार दुरगम अन्नपूर्णा ने गाँव की कुमारियों की भावना पर आधारित एक गीत प्रस्तुत किया, जिसका भाव था कि गाँव में बड़े बड़े पेडों पर झूले बंधे हैं। इन्हीं झूलों पर गाँव की कुमारियाँ खिलखिला रही हैं। मौज-मस्ती कर रही हैं। इनके गीत के बोल थे- ‘कोम्मल पलम उन्नादो वीयल’। मैसम्मा को तेलंगाना की लोक देवी माना जाता है। उनकी स्तुति में बोनालू उत्सव के दौरान ‘मायादार मैसम्मा’ भी गाया जाता है। ऐसी मान्यता है कि देवी मैसम्मा कभी वहाँ आती हैं और कभी अदृश्य हो जाती हैं, लेकिन उनकी माया को कोई समझ नहीं सकता। इस गीत में किसी सुंदर लड़की को मैसम्मा की उपमा देकर रिझाया जाता है। ‘मायादार मैसम्मा’ की रोचक प्रस्तुति को दर्शकों ने काफ़ी पसंद किया। कलाकारों को जमकर सराहना मिली। इसके बाद कलाकारों ने अंतिम प्रस्तुति दी, जो जोश से भरी हुई थी। आखिरी प्रस्तुति में पैदा पुली देवी यानी बड़े शेर की स्तुति की गई। इस प्रस्तुति के जोश में दर्शक भी खूब झूमे।
