In this video, the Asiatic Society, Kolkata represents a virtual exhibition of its Museum Treasures. The manuscripts collection of the Asiatic Society is rich and varied and covers most of the Indian languages and scripts. The museum of Asiatic Society is a treasure house of Archival documents, archeological objects, and paintings which contributes to its rich heritage and culture. This video talks about the different types of collections of the Asiatic society. Archival documents in the collection of Society contain Letters, Lithographs, Maps, Rarebooks, etc. A collection of Archaeological objects includes Sculptures, Metal objects, Inscriptions, Coins, and Busts. The museum of the Asiatic society has 78 very rich and valuable old European Oil-paintings mostly portraits and also holds 62 paintings from the 'Bengal School of Painting'.
