K. Zawla, in his introduction to the book put forth his meaning in writing the book and says that his intention is to write a book that could preserve the culture of the Mizo and saves it for future generation to learn from it. The book contains stories that recollect the experience of the Mizo soldier in France during the First World War. Another story tells of two faithful friends during the Second World War. The book also includes songs in short storytelling form. In the last chapter, we find important years in the history of the people of Mizoram.
