India Analysed Vol.I: International

1 Jan 1933

The aim of the India Analysed series that has four volumes is to give a picture of present-day India. The writers, English and Indian, who are known to be best qualified to speak on the subject have been asked to contribute. It is intended first and foremost for the man with an intelligent interest in Indian affairs who is not satisfied with the scrappy and often biased accounts he finds in the newspapers. Secondly it was intended for the student who will only find such material by spending time he can ill-afford amongst a pile of Indian journals. The series, in fact, attempts to give an integrated picture of India by bringing together the views of those Indians and Englishmen who can speak with authority.
