Bombay Fantasies is a story, written in Mizo by VL Zaikima. The book contains introduction written in English, followed by the author’s introduction and background information written in Mizo. The story revolves around the experience of a man, a student of social work, doing his case work in Bombay. During his case work, he met a girl from his own community in the big city, named Zamveli, whose business name is Catherine. Through their encounters, we can observe the history and conditions of the prostitute in the city as well as the nature of Mizo community which is shaped by Christian morals and how it is used as a medium to save others in need.
