This book is a 21st-month report on Durga puja and the society. When the drumbeats of Durga puja are heard, the mind takes a big leap to the serenity of the Mother Nature. Nature has a certain presence or spirit. It is an almost indescribable feeling just to go out to the middle of the sea or into a forest and just sit there in awe of its beauty. Durga puja is an indispensable part of Bengali culture since the evolution of religious rites to a phenomenon in the posh Hindu families; rather one can say the spirit of the Bengali culture lies upon. This particular time of the phenomenon regarded as the cradle to fulfil the cherished dreams to come face to face with Mother Nature. The intrepid spirit wants to live the moments and let the heart of a Bengali out to explore the unexplored. Loaded the bag pack and let the time lead the spirit to the unfathomed expanse. This publication is an outcome of the project under Lalit Kala Akademi, Ministry of Culture, Government of India which is titled as "Preservance and Digitising Art Activities During Puja Festival in Kolkata."
