The Fatawa-i-Alamgiri is an authentic book on Islamic jurisprudence handwritten in Naskh characters. It is a work of many Islamic scholars. It was compiled during the reign time of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb at his instance. The scholars were called from across the Islamic world and thus this book was compiled under the leadership of Sheikh Nizam Burhanpuri.
