Ardveraf

This manuscript was authored by Manakji Muroji Naushirvan and comprises three illustrated poems called the Qissa-i-Sultan Mahmud Ghaznavi. It begins with a mathnavi about the encounter of the famous Mahmud of Ghazna with a Zoroastrian priest, Ardveraf. Following the first mathnavi is a second one which debates the Zoroastrian beliefs of heaven and hell. It is authored by Manakji Muroji Naushirvan and is written in Nastaliq script.
