The sword belongs to Akka Devi. She was a Queen of Chalukya of Kalyani Kingdom in Karnataka State. The sword had been presented to Late Smt. Indira Gandhi, Ex. Prime Minister of India by the Chalukya family Sardar Appana dated 2nd October 1966. Later the sword was donated to Allahabad Museum.
