Sculpture

This is a bronze sculpture by Lalita Katt. Katt is known for her sculptures in stone, metal, especially known are her works in bronze. For her, "philosophy, psychology and science are the three essentials in sculpting" where in the artist transcends beyond one’s own self to create art. The Ghats of Banaras where she had stayed for her study have been the recurring motif in her works. This sculpture shows a similar motif of steps climbing towards the mind of the figure head, a very surreal depiction brought out by the artist.
