Amarnath Sehgal (1922- 2007) was a noted Indian modernist sculptor, painter, poet and an art educator. He started his career as an engineer in Lahore. But shifted to Delhi after the partition of India in 1947. Amar Nath Sehgal's works serve as a bridge between the people and the artist, who stood for the artistic freedom, courage and rights of an artist to their work.
