It is a bronze sculpture of Devi (probably Parvati) standing on a double lotus pedestal. The weight is taken on the right leg and the left leg flexed and slightly advanced. The right hand is in kataka-mudra and left are in lola-hasta mudra. The hair is tied into a high bun (Kesa-bandha) with two bands of short curls. There is a serrated siras-chakra behind the head. The costume consists of a lower garment reaching below the knees (Chaudataka) secured by an elaborate girdle with tassels. The eyeballs are clearly marked out and the extended lobes of ears have holes. Other details include a chain on each shoulder, two necklaces, a neck-rod with marriage symbol (tali), bracelets, armlets, yajnopavita and anklets. There are two circular holes on the pedestal in front and at the back.
