Farman

A farman of Shah Jahan, issued by Khan-i-Daurau, addressed Gumashtas, Karisetc of Pargana Haveli Ujjain, Malwa regarding the grant of 50 bighas barren, tax-free land to the pujarees of the temple of Ankpad. The jagir land was granted in the Pargana Haveli Ujjain, but the jagir land was shifted from Pargana Haveli Ujjain to Pai Khari, under the said Parganas. The document has a seal of Muhiul Allah Khan with the note that he received farnman on 17 Farwardin, 7th regnal year of Shah Jahan. It is handwritten in Shikasta characters of Persian language.
