This is an image of Narasimha assassinating the demon Hiranyakashipu. The hybrid god has flowing hairs reaching up to the shoulders and secured by a crown. He wears hara, armlets and bracelets. The god is standing on his right leg while his left foot is placed on a demon crawling beneath the left leg. The body of the demon Hiranyakashipu is thrown on the thighs of the left leg and the god is engaged in tearing it with his two hands. His other two hands are in abhaya-mudra and hold shankha. The demon holds a dagger and a shield. The back slab behind shows a horizontal beam upon which lotus petals are carved.
