Ragamala painting was a part of most Indian paintings, literally meaning the 'Garland of Ragas of the classical music', which became the visual depictions of Indian miniature schools' artists. In these paintings, not just the Ragas, but also Ragas' wives, the Ragini's and their sons (Ragaputras), and daughters (Ragaputris) became the themes. The painting depicts the Raag Bilawal, a summer raga played as a morning Raga, showing the music's playing in the interior spaces.
