Image of Vishnu

A four armed image of Vishnu, standing on an oval-shaped double lotus pedestal, which is mounted on a rectangular base having mouldings near the top rim and a lotus petal motif at the lower rim. The arms are bifurcated at the shoulders. The front right hand is in Abhaya-mudra, the rear right carries the chakra and the rear left carries the shankha, both between the first and second figures. The costume consists of a lower garment, formerly treated with floral design and drapery folds, secured by an elaborated girdle, having a Kirtimukha in front. There is a Siras-chakra behind the head. Other details include a high crown (Kirit-mukuta) with fillet, earrings, chain of flowers on each shoulder, necklaces, Yahnapavita, Udarabandha, ornamental kujuras etc.
