This painting belongs to the Pahari school of painting which depicts Krishna (only part of the face visible) wearing a mukuta with gopas (only a few faces visible) who are wearing turbans or Kulahs, one with a feather. In the background is a town. A young man riding a white horse entering the market place. A faqir almost nude and wearing a mala of black beads is lying on the ground and looking towards his right. One man wearing a red jama and pugree is pointing out something to the other person who wears a jama of mauve colour. One lady is advancing to receive the young rider. Outside the market, there is a well and two women are drawing water out of it. On one side two sadhus, one wearing saffron-coloured jama and the other is bare-bodied except for a loincloth. A number of ladies are seated in balconies and looking out. In the background are trees and blue sky, red border on one side only.
