- Note
- Born in 1927 in Gttingen, Emil Cimiotti is a famous German Sculptor. In 1949 he began his studies under Otto Baum at the Stuttgart Art Academy. In 1963 Emil Cimiotti became a founding member of the Braunschweig University of Art. In contrast to his usual practice of working directly with wax, Cimiotti sand-casted numerous pieces. His drawings often take up themes of the plastic works with a chronological shift and lead them to other solutions corresponding to the medium.
