The painting presents a royal procession of Maharao Durjansal ji (1723-1756 CE). He was king of Kotah, Rajasthan. Kotah is situated on the bank of the river Chambal. It is third most popular city of the Rajasthan. King Durjansal ji seen seated on an elephant. He is seen wearing white dress and having a nimbus behind his head. The nimbus shows him superior to others. An attendant seen wearing black dress and seated behind Durjansal is holding a chauri in his hand while another attendant seated before Maharao Durjansal is riding elephant. The elephant is moving ahead and well decorated with colourful drapery and jewelries. In the foreground a group of soldiers are seen marching by holding swords, shields and spears in their hands.
