The painting is presenting a scene based on Rasavali poetry, created in the Malwa district of Central India. A quarrelsome heroine or Kalahantarika-Nayika is seated on a chauki under a pavilion of a white architecture. She is showing something from her both hands while conversing with Krishna. Krishna is shown standing before the heroine by wearing a crown stunned with peacock feathers. He is shown blue in colour. Against the black background of the white architecture to the lift, a tree is seen decorated with floral spray along with a red mount. In the foreground, a tank and a series of floral plants on the bank of the water tank are painted beautifully.
