The Pahari school painting is showing Lord Krishna dancing on the hoods of serpent Kaliya, the episode known as Kaliya-Daman when the said serpent polluted river Yamuna. The six wives of Kailya offering lotus flowers to Lord Krishna as he did not kill Kaliya.
