This painting belongs to Pahari school of painting which shows a stately dressed Prince seated against a high pillow on an intricately designed carpet on a terrace. He is seen smoking hooka and a sword rests on his thigh. Characteristic yellow background with the light sky is prominently visible. Colours mainly used are yellow, blue, red, green, black, white gold. There is an inscription on the reverse of the painting.
