This painting belongs to the Pahari school of painting which depicts a lady (only one hand and the front side of her clothes visible) is holding a pearl string before a peacock on a yellow ground with patches of green grass. She wears red garments with a gold border and bangles etc., she is dangling the pearl string above the beak of the peacock which has turned its neck to receive it. The peacock has a blue neck, wings of light pink colour and the body of grey colour. Its legs are bent. It has a blue border with white and black lines on one side only.
