The video is a recording of the musical tribute programme Akhar Te Birha which was held at the Tagore Theatre in Chandigarh, Punjab. The event was held in the memory of the legendary poet Shiv Kumar Batalvi (1936-1973). The writer, poet and playwright was most noted for his romantic poems in the Punjabi language. He was the youngest recipient of the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1967 for his work Loona (1965) which became the creator of a new genre of the modern Punjabi kissa or oral story-telling tradition. The video showcases a group song in Punjabi by women, Chhindwariya ve, followed by a ghazalTu Vida Hoyon penned by Shiv Kumar Batalvi. This ghazal performance was followed by the performance of another group song Kale Kale Bagh Vich in Punjabi by women.
