India - A Hindu Teacher with a Class of Boys

A teacher with a class of boys by the Tank of the Golden Temple in Amritsar, Punjab, India. The teacher is standing amidst his large class of boys, each one sitting on the ground and holding a board for writing. All are wearing turbans of various colors. The Harmandir Sahib, or the Golden Temple, is a large golden shrine situated across from the pool of water known as the Sarovar that the boys are sitting next to. The temple is the holiest shrine in the Sikh religion, (1912).
