Research in Progress Pillow cover made of six sections of coarse linen, lined with heavy blue cotton, and embroidered in shades of green, red, yellow, and blue. Design of center-front section is severly geometric, with triangles within diamonds that are within larger diamonds, and the colors are red, olive drab, and turquoise. In the other sections, which are alternatively red and green linen, a small fantastic bird is framed by four straight branches. Sets of four branches radiate from little whorls between the birds. There is great variety in the color combinations used for the birds. Birds situated at the dividing line between the two sections turn to look back at their fellows on the other side.
