Research in Progress Kashmir shawl fragment. Horizontal repeats of symmetrical vase and flowers flanked by large elaborate interlace of decorated arabesques; twining flowering sprays fill interstices; scrolling floral guard band at bottom with decorated guard stripes above and below. In bright turquoise, greens, purples, browns, cerises on pale tan ground.
