Research in Progress Hindu-type embroidered shawl with an eight-pointed star centered in a panel that has one half of the star repeated at both sides. In between are small birds. Flowering trees fill space above and below medallions. Both ends have twenty-one centimeter wide border of flowering trees set at a ninety-degree angle to the field as if growing from both ends. A narrow floral border is on both sides. Shawl is made from two pieces stitch together; one is very narrow.
