SCNHRB copy has handwritten notes on endpapers; the volume was apparently acquired from Quaritch, based on an acquisitions note pencilled in the gutter of page [1] (2nd group) of the first work bound in the volume. With stamp and accession number on verso of title page of 1st work in the volume: 324244; Smithsonian Institution National Museum Sept 25 1943. SCNHRB copy has an old gilt-tooled black half-leather binding with marbled paper boards, raised bands, marbled endpapers, and top edge gilt.
