“Village Church & Congregation Sialkot district.” Group portrait of several indigenous people standing in front of church building. . The Punjab had been chosen as the first field in India for the Church of Scotland and after the disruption of the Indian Rebellion the mission rapidly expanded in the Sialkot district. Native evangelists were often at the forefront of the mission expansion and also part of the original group establishing the field.
