“Mission Girls Washing, Sialkot.” View of several indigenous girls washing clothing around covered well. The Sialkot Ladies Mission was run by the Aberdeen Auxiliary of the Church of Scotland Women’s Association for Foreign Missions. The Women’s Associations main remit was the education of women in India and involved setting up girls’ schools and teaching in zenanas. It also included medical work.
