View of the steamship Himalaya (1892-1922) in port with a number of small boats picking up passengers. The passenger liner was built in Greenock for the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company and voyaged between London and Bombay ❧ This is one of a series of photographs contained in an album showing popular tourist attractions in India, the album was owned by an unknown Church of Scotland missionary who had probably toured whilst working out in the region. Unfortunately there is very little information with the photographs as to there ownership.
