Tinted lantern slide showing one of the first missionaries into Bihar from Regions Beyond Missionary Union, Alexander Banks, with a group of boys and men from the orphanage in Siwan. Mr Banks sits in the centre of the group, wearing a suit and large hat. The photograph was taken in January 1914 by Dr Harry Guinness, the then director of Regions Beyond Missionary Union. Captions to the slide read: "INDIA: Siwan Mr B Orphan boys and men" and "1914. Jany. H.G.G's Photo." This slide comes from a collection created by missionaries from Regions Beyond Missionary Union, an interdenominational Protestant evangelical mission working in northeast India (Bihar and Orissa) and Nepal.
