Patients on hospital verandah, south India, 1924

"Some Methodist patients." Patients on verandah of hospital run by Methodists. The missionary and doctor can be seen at the end of the verandah. From a set of lantern slides entitled "The Union of Churches in South India" by Rev Dr W.F. Lofthouse. Dr Lofthouse visited India between January and March 1924 as conference delegate to the Methodist districts in South India, on the proposed scheme for union with the Anglican Dioceses and the South India United Church. The photographs in this set were taken during his visit.
