"At work in the men's ward". Missionary T.V. Campbell attending to patient on hospital ward. Campbell was central to the establishment of a successful medial missionary presence in the Telegu and Mysore areas during his service there from 1891 to 1921. He contributed greatly to the battle against tuberculosis and served at Jammalamadugu hospital in the Telegu district [now Andhra Pradesh] until 1912, when he moved to the Wardlaw Thompson hospital at Chikkaballapur [now Chikballapur]. He was a leader of the South India United Church and was awarded the Kaisar-i Hind medal for Public Service in 1908. One of a number of prints captioned and pasted onto numbered boards, used by the London Missionary Society for reference and publications.
