"The Darbar Garh" Photograph of a fort in the city of Jammu. The building is built around an open courtyard. There are trees in the foreground of the picture and people can be seen under the arches of the fort walls. This belongs to a series of Church of Scotland Foreign Missions Committee lantern slides relating to Jammu City, which is also known as the "City of Temples". A mission station occupied by Church of Scotland missionaries was founded here in the late 19th/early 20th century. Jammu is also one of the three administrative divisions within Jammu and Kashmir, the northernmost state in India.
