Black and white lantern slide featuring a view of an open air meeting in Motihari, Bihar, north India. He photograph was taken by Dr Harry Guinness, the head of Regions Beyond Missionary Union, in 1913. A crowd of men can be seen clustering around a platform, on which a small group of figures stand. One of the Indian men on the platform who can be seen more clearly wears Western dress. Women can be seen on the outside of the main cluster of men. The original caption to the slide reads: "Open Air Meeting in Motihari with banners. Photo by Dr Harry Guinness 1913." This slide comes from a collection created by missionaries from Regions Beyond Missionary Union, an interdenominational Protestant evangelical mission working in northeast India (Bihar and Orissa) and Nepal.
