“Camping in India”. Exterior view of a camp with a large number of indigenous people standing around with a canvas tent in the background. Many of the missionaries travelled either on sight seeing tours or to preach to people in far flung regions. During the summer season many would travel up into the mountains to escape the heat, this would often involve moving a large number of possessions from one place to another.
