“Boy dressed up to represent Krishna, Arkonam [Arakkonam].” A young boy wears elaborate jewellery, in the form of necklaces, headdress, bracelets and nose piercings, to represent the deity Krishna. He holds a traditional bamboo flute in front of his mouth as if about to play. ❧ This photograph belongs to an album of mixed photographs collected by Dr. Stevenson and includes images from India, China and Africa.
