Slide Series, Bangladesh 1990: "Leprosy - the old scourge" - No. 04: A leper man with collapse of the nose. Another symptom of particularly unhappy character, which only occurs in patients with a low or no resistance, is destruction of the nose-bearing structures, leading to collapse. This gives a great cosmetic nuisance, also because everybody recognizes it as a sign of leprosy, resulting in great impact on social aspect of the patient as well.
